    The Majors Leadership Academy (MLA) is a leadership development program for girls that focuses on creating a harmonious balance between the Emotional, Spiritual and Social dimensions of the girl child as the access to academic excellence.

    What is the MLA mission?
    Our mission is to provide a supportive and affirming environment for girls to develop the skills necessary to assume any position of leadership THEY choose.

    What Does MLA Do
    The Majors Leadership Academy (MLA) operates in partnership with the education system by giving young women the emotional, spiritual and social skills to excel educationally. Founded by Michelle Majors, we are an organization providing transformational programs to girls and young women.

    How Do We Deliver Our Programs?
    Currently we offer our leadership programs in the following three ways:
    • MLA - A.S.P. (After School Program) - a place for girls to come together in a socially safe community where they can connect, develop emotional intelligence, expand their capacity for healthy relationship skills, express themselves openly, and discover their natural gifts and talents, all based on a platform of leadership development!
    • Day Camps - designed to provide the perfect balance of transformational leadership development, workshops and FUN. (After all, this is a vacation)
    • MLA Mobile® - created to bring our rich, transformational leadership curriculum to the girls in YOUR school!

    Facilitated by professional instructors, all MLA programs use interactive lessons and cutting-edge techniques to help girls connect with their emotions and practice the tools of building healthy, authentic relationships. The courses are age-appropriate and progressive, following girls’ developmental needs from grade school through high school.

    MLA's exceptional program offerings are based on:

  • OUR PHILOSOPHY

    There is a South African Principle called "Ubuntu" which essentially states, "I AM because we are". This means that who our children become is a reflection of our collective thoughts, behaviors and beliefs.

    At MLA, we've added a twist to this principle. We teach our girls that "WE ARE because I AM". In other words...

    "Who I choose to BE - transforms the WE".

    We believe that true leadership arises in self-accountability for the greater good and that it always STARTS with ME!
